Route description
Park on the track off Snowhill Lane. Head through the gate and climb the steps, taking a moment to catch your breath and enjoy the fantastic views back across The Fylde and towards Lancaster. On a clear day, you can even make out the Lake District fells.
From here, the path to the Nicky Nook trig point is well marked and easy to follow.
Continue straight on past the trig point and descend the stone steps on the far side of the fell. The path soon brings you alongside the beautiful Grizedale Reservoir.
Follow the path beside Grizedale Brook, with Nicky Nook Fell now on your right. The route meanders through peaceful woodland and open countryside before reaching a gate.
Go through the gate and continue along the path until you reach Higher Lane. From there, simply follow the quiet country road back to your parking spot on Snowhill Lane, completing a lovely circular walk.
